Lawmaker’s Mother Kidnapped

The mother of the former Deputy Speaker, who is a current member of the Ogun State House of Assembly, Pastor Remmy Hazzan, has been reportedly kidnapped by unknown gunmen.
Punch reports that the gunmen, suspected to be kidnappers, stormed the lawmaker’s mother’s residence at Omu-Ijebu in Odogbolu Local Government Area of the state about 8pm on Wednesday, and whisked her away.

It would be recalled that on September 3, 2014, the Department of Security Service operating in Anambra State reportedly arrested an herbalist, three others in connection with the kidnapping of Charles Onyido, in Ogbunike, Oyi Local Government Area of the state.
It was also reported that officials of the Joint Task Force (JTF) Operation Pulo Shield operating in the Niger Delta region recently raided suspected hideouts used by kidnappers at Meibegbemo located at Zobia of Faropo community of Southern Ijaw LGA. Also men of Edo state Police command along killed no fewer than two suspected armed robbers and kidnappers during a gun duel between them and the hoodlums.
